Hey there!
My name is Kylie Sager, a sound engineer based in Nashville, Tennessee. Since moving here, I've developed my skills in both live sound and studio engineering.
Studio: I studied studio engineering at Middle Tennessee State University (2018-2021), graduating summa cum laude within three years. My senior year, I started my first internship with Grammy-winning producer Jay Joyce, which served as supplemental studio education for a year. After graduation, I was given the opportunity to continue to grow my skill set at Forty-One Fifteen studio in East Nashville, where I assisted Grammy-winning engineer Shani Gandhi for a time and began freelancing on my own projects as well as taking some on-call assistant work.
Live Sound: My journey in live sound began unexpectedly when a friend helped me land a church audio gig, as I gained experience there I began to take on freelance work in clubs in tandem. I later worked full-time on Nashville's Broadway strip, running FOH/Monitors in a total of 13 different rooms during that duration. In 2023, I joined Sam Bush's touring crew as a Monitor Engineer and Stage Manager, and have since toured with them. As I continued to grow roots in the bluegrass world, I have also subbed for artists like Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle.
I'm grateful to be in a field that allows me to help bring artistic visions to life. I'd love to collaborate and see how we can create enduring music together!
